Social Buds Workshops
The purpose of our program is to foster social-emotional learning and provide an opportunity for your child to bond with other children.
Social Buds workshops are offered for children ages 6-11 years of age. The exciting interactive activities and creative, hands-on projects are designed to help both girls and boys to develop good social-emotional abilities. Good social-emotional skills are the abilities to understand, express, and manage emotions.

Enrollment
Please register first prior to paying for a class.
Cost
$75 per session.
Children must be enrolled and paid in advance prior to each session.

Focus Areas
Each group session is one hour, and focuses on a specific social-emotional area which is important in the healthy development of your child.
Self-Esteem
Building confidence and self-worth, exploring strengths and unique talents, accepting areas of strength and weakness.
Coping Skills
Recognizing emotions and how to reduce negative affects of our feelings, developing a strong "tool box" of strategies to minimize everyday stressors.
Social Problem Solving
Learning different roles in a social conflict and how to generate effective solutions that make the situation better.
Anger Management
Knowing the triggers of personal anger and how to bring down our reactions to the problems by taking control of our response.
Building Friendships
Exploring what makes a good friend and how to be the friend you seek for others.
